Join the MakerBus team in a half-day professional development session showing how making can be brought into your classroom. From science and art, to English and math, learn how emerging technologies can be used to engage, instruct, and amaze.

We offer hands-on training in a variety of innovative technologies and each participate will leave our session with three ready-made lesson plans with ideas for how these technologies can supplement existing curricula.

Friday March 7th we will be offering two half-day sessions:

Session two:  Making and the secondary classroom (1-4pm)

These sessions will include:

  • Introduction to the Maker Movement
  • Where to go for project ideas
  • Introduction to the Makey Makey
  • DIY Microscope
  • Upcycling lesson plan
  • MAKE in London – where to find your local Makers

Each half day course costs $60 per person and will take place at Hacker Studios in downtown London, ON. Participants will leave with three lesson plans and a DIY Microscope kit, and are sure to be inspired by all aspects of the Maker Movement.
