After a brief exchange on twitter yesterday inspired an idea – a holiday story exchange.

Here’s how it will work:

1. Use the Twine Game Maker (http://twinery.org/) to create a short, choose-your-own-adventure-style story

2. Share your story either on twitter or on Facebook

3. Read others’ stories

We love Twine. It’s a free, open-source tool for creating branching and/or non-linear stories. Twine also teaches very basic HTML commands, so it’s a great way to start learning about how web pages are made. Anyone can use Twine and no knowledge of coding is necessary, but it does offer a gateway to learn about coding.
