A new year is upon us and the MakerBus team has big plans for 2015. January and February will a time to make new partners, plan upcoming events, and (hopefully) make the MakerBus itself even more awesome.
Here’s a sneak preview of some of the things we have in store for the beginning of 2015.
More tutorial videos: Did you know our first tutorial video (How to make a DIY macro lens) has receive more than 10,000 views on Youtube? This means that there’s a demand for more how-to videos from the MakerBus. Each month we’ll be publishing a new video showing how you can do some of our favourite projects at home (here’s December’s video – How to make non-toxic slime).
Play with your food: Being a maker involves more than just technology and gadgets – cooks and chefs are some of the most creative makers out there. We’ll be starting a new series of blog posts and videos that explore how you can apply the maker ethos to your home cooking to create one-of-a-kind meals that will impress, surprise, and amaze.
MakerBus at DorkBot: On January 21st join James and Ryan from the MakerBus at the Judith and Norman Alix Art Gallery for Dorkbot – a night of techno-creativity. We’ll be demonstrating how lasers can be used to transmit sound.
Website changes: We’ve had our website (www.makerbus.ca) up for one year and it’s time for a refresh. Stay tuned for the new and improved MakerBus website.
If you’re interested in the MakerBus and would like to talk to our team, now is a great time to get in touch. We’re busy laying the groundwork for 2015 and we want to hear from as many people in our community as possible.
Let’s #make this an amazing year for creativity in London!
