Up-cycled pop-culture jewelry, superhero fan mail, and a DIY arcade – oh my!

On Sunday October 18th join the MakerBus team at Forest City Comicon for a day of fantastical fun. We will be bringing some maker-style creativity to this event to share with everyone at FCC.

What kinds of things are we planning, you might ask?

• Superhero Fan Mail – Calling all superheroic cosplayers! Drop by our booth, have your picture taken, and receive fan mail from your legions of supportive fans. Or, if you’re not into fighting crime while wearing spandex, you can write a fan letter to your favourite superperson and have it hand delivered to them.
• Up-cycled Pop-culture Jewelry – Hand-crafted Lego jewelry makes the person Fall fashion accessory. Support the MakerBus by purchasing one of our unique creations. Or if jewelry isn’t your style, purchase a hand-made, recycled comic book button.
• DIY Arcade – The MakerBus team has made an entire classic arcade out of cardboard, some cool tech, and creativity. Play some of your favourite games reimagined with a MakerBus twist. We will have Flappy Bus, PacBus, and Bus Invaders available to play. Come get your game on!
