How would you build a mobile makerspace?

As the summer winds down, we’re gearing up for the second round of MakerBus renovations. Last year with the help of Paul Graham at Alpine Systems Engineering and his amazing team, we turned a rusted, old school bus into our big blue beauty.

Year difference2

The second stage of renovations will focus on the interior of the MakerBus. We’ve connected with an innovative new London-based architecture firm called Matter Arch Studios (you should totally follow them on Twitter because they’re awesome) to help us design what the new and improve MakerBus interior will look like.

We would love community input in this process. If you were designing a mobile makerspace, what would you want it to look like?

Share your design ideas with us either as a comment on this post, on Twitter (@DHMakerBus), or on our Facebook Page. We would love to hear all ideas, no matter how big (flying MakerBus?) or small (mason jars filled with LEDs).

The MakerBus runs on community support and we want the bus to reflect the complete and total awesome-ness of our community.
